Don't Steal the Brainrots Upgrade Units and Expand Floors

Don’t Steal the Brainrots prints cash from parked characters, not from how many times you touched the grass today. The official loop is upgrade your characters to earn more, then expand your plot to unlock extra slots. The Food Update (31 August–14 September 2026) added Foods, New Floors, and more, so expansion is no longer a single extra pad on the starter floor. This page is spend order: which unit to upgrade, when to buy a slot, when to buy a floor, and how to avoid a pretty empty building.

If you do not have a parked Brainrot yet, stop here and finish the first-session checklist. Upgrading air is not a strategy. If you keep losing the unit on the way home, fix the sprint with how to escape before you open the shop.

Upgrade the unit, not the panic

Collect from the cash tile first. Then spend on the Brainrot that already sits on a slot. A JOB cube you upgrade will out-earn a JOB cube you ignore, but it will not out-earn a parked Meowl Exclusive, 67 Exclusive, or Strawberry Elephant that you leave at base rank. That is the picture of a spend target: labeled units, not a crowd of unnamed commons.

lol games.. has not posted a public price table for each upgrade tick. Do not treat a YouTube cash popup such as $968,213,415 as a cost. That is income rendering. Tap the upgrade prompt on the character you care about and read what the live game charges. If the prompt is on the wrong unit, you are standing too close to a common.

Extra slots versus extra floors

Slots are for Brainrots you already own or are about to steal. Floors are for the next row of slots. Buy a slot when a Secret is coming and every pad is full. Buy a floor when the current floor is full of units you are willing to keep. Buying a floor because the Food Update page said “New Floors” is how you own a second story of nothing.

Walk the plot before you pay. Official overview shots are a single room with orange walls and a tight Exclusive cluster. Extra floors should copy that tightness: one Meowl-quality unit per pad, not a hallway of JOB cubes you were too busy to gift. Sketch the next room on the plot layout planner so you do not discover a blocked collect tile after the purchase.

Food Update floors

The live Roblox event window is 31 August through 14 September 2026. The event text is short on purpose: Foods, New Floors, more. Read it as two spend flags. Food Brainrots are new steal targets in the field; they still follow how to steal and still need a sleep window. New floors are plot structure. Do not demolish a working Exclusive floor to “make space for food” unless the new unit beats what you already parked. Check names against the rarity ranking and Exclusive ranks before you relocate Mixed Boss to a worse tile.

If the event ends and your extra floor is still empty, you bought cosmetics for the building. Fill it or you wasted the cash that should have upgraded Meowl.

What to upgrade first

Order that does not require a leaked spreadsheet:

1. The highest labeled unit you actually own (Secret or Exclusive).
2. The second-best labeled unit, so you are not one steal away from a dead plot.
3. A slot only if the next field target is already asleep and you have no pad.
4. A new floor only if step 3 would overflow the current floor with keepers.
5. Commons last, and only the common you refuse to gift.

Spaghetti Tualetti SECRET and Strawberry Elephant SECRET are upgrade magnets because they are rare in the field. Mixed Boss is an upgrade magnet and a chaser; a gorilla that sits on your plot is earning, a gorilla that is awake in the field is a problem for how to escape. 67 Exclusive and Meowl Exclusive belong in the same first bucket. JOB cubes belong in the last bucket unless they are your only unit.

Trading and gifting around upgrades

The official description includes trade and gift. That is how you fix a bad pad without waiting for another Secret sleep. Gift the weak common to a friend who still needs a first slot. Trade a duplicate Exclusive rather than parking two Meowls while 67 is missing. The Brainrot trading page is the social version of an upgrade: you change slot quality without touching the field.

Do not gift your only Secret because the secret unit notes page made you nervous. Notes are for identification. The unit on your pad is the farm.

A simple spend order for one night

Collect. Upgrade the best parked character until the next tick feels expensive relative to a new slot. If a Zzz is up on a Secret and you have space, steal with how to steal. If a Zzz is up and you have no space, buy the slot, then steal. If nothing is asleep, leave the experience and let offline cash work. That last option is an upgrade too: you are spending time instead of waking Mixed Boss for a common.

Scripts that skip the spend UI live under auto-farm scripts. They are not a substitute for knowing which pad deserves the cash. A banned plot upgrades nothing.
