Don't Steal the Brainrots Trade and Gift Brainrots
Official gift tools, fair value, and how not to lose Meowl.
The official Roblox description for Don’t Steal the Brainrots includes a plain line: trade and gift Brainrots with friends to grow together. That is the entire legal basis for this page. Comments under creator videos already ask to trade. The feature is real. The scams around it are also real. This is a five-player sneak tycoon, not an auction house with escrow. If you gift an Exclusive because a stranger promised a “God plus Secret bundle after you go first,” you are volunteering to empty your plot.
Value in this game is slot value. Parked units print cash while you are offline. Gifting a unit is gifting future offline cash. That is why we rank trades with the same three axes as the tier list: the label on the model, the steal risk you already survived, and the plot slot you are about to vacate. We still do not invent a dollars-per-second price list. If someone quotes a fake $/s sheet copied from Steal a Brainrot, they are not trading in this game.
What the official tools are for
Gift is how you send a Brainrot to a friend on purpose. Trade is how two players swap. Use the in-experience flow. Do not leave the place, do not join a “middleman” server, do not type your password, and do not pay Robux to a user who claims they can spawn Mixed Boss. lol games.. already tells you how to get free cash: like the experience and join the group. That path is documented on group rewards. Trading is for units, not for bypassing that.
Friends in a five-player lobby can actually grow together. Duplicate 67s are the cleanest gift: one plot keeps Exclusive coverage, the other plot stops looking like a pencil museum. A friend who just learned how to steal will earn more from a gifted filler than from a lecture. A friend who already has Meowl does not need your last Meowl.
What is worth gifting
Gift these when you have duplicates. Exclusive tags first: Meowl, 67, Mixed Boss, Strawberry Elephant. Secret tags next: Spaghetti Tualetti and any other client-tagged Secret you actually own. God / Mythic / Huge duplicates after that. Read the exclusives deep dive and the secrets page before you decide a unit is “just a meme.”
Gift fillers to new players. A pencil or sausage sleeper teaches the collect tile. It is a kind gift and a cheap gift. Do not gift your only Secret to be kind. Kindness that deletes your offline income is how you quit.
Do not gift these. Your only Exclusive. Your only dual-tag Strawberry Elephant. A unit you have not upgraded yet if the upgrade would have made the rest of the plot print. Anything a stranger demanded in under thirty seconds.
JOB is a flex cube. Gift JOB if you like the joke and you already have real tags parked. Do not trade Mixed Boss for JOB. Mixed Boss is an Exclusive gorilla with a watermelon body and a chase thumbnail. JOB is a cube you hold over your head.
Scam patterns that show up in chat
- Go first. Anyone who cannot gift simultaneously is not trading. They are collecting.
- Trust, I have proof. Screenshots of other games, conveyor charts, or Medusa kits are proof they are in the wrong wiki.
- I’ll upgrade it for you. Nobody needs your unit off your plot to upgrade it. You have an upgrade guide for that.
- Drop it on the field and I’ll pick it up. That is a steal, which is the core loop, not a trade.
- Meet on another place. The Brainrot leaves this experience and does not come back.
- Codes for Exclusives. As of September 2026 there is no public redeem-code list. Free cash is group and like rewards, listed on the codes hub. Anyone selling a “secret code” for Meowl is lying.
If the lobby is full, assume four other people can hear the offer. Public trades attract snipes. Finish the gift, park what you received, and only then celebrate. A unit over your head is not a unit. Offline cash does not start until it sits on the plot.
Fair-trade heuristics (still not a price table)
Equal tags are the default. Exclusive for Exclusive, Secret for Secret. A dual-tag food unit (Strawberry Elephant) is not equal to a filler Huge. Mixed Boss is not equal to JOB. 67 is equal to Meowl only if both plots actually need the tag. If you are filling a new floor from the Food Update, extra rooms can make you more willing to hold duplicates instead of gifting them. Empty floors are a storage feature. Use them.
When in doubt, keep the unit and steal another. The field still sleeps. The official how-to-play loop does not require trading to progress. Trading is how friends even out hauls after the carry. It is not how you skip learning escape timing.
Check official links if you need the Roblox place page or group, then come back here before you gift. The plot in the hero image is four Exclusives in one room. That room is the goal. Do not donate it to a chat handle.
Gift value, never passwords. If the offer needs a rush, walk away.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for sneak runs, plot cash, and the Food Update.
Does Don't Steal the Brainrots actually have trading?
Yes. The official description lists trade and gift with friends. Comments under haul videos already ask to trade. Use the in-game gift flow, not a side deal.
What should I gift a friend who just started?
A duplicate filler or a second Exclusive if you truly have a spare. Point them at getting started and make money so they do not immediately lose it.
Is Mixed Boss worth more than 67?
Mixed Boss is a large Exclusive with a chase thumbnail. 67 is a compact Exclusive. Both are keepers. Do not trade either for JOB or for a nameless pencil.
Someone wants me to go first. Is that fine?
No. Go-first trades are how Exclusives leave your plot. If you cannot complete the gift together, you are not trading.
Can I trade for codes or Robux?
You should not. There is no confirmed public code list, and off-platform Robux deals are how accounts vanish. Claim group rewards instead.
Do gifted units still earn offline cash?
Once they are parked on the receiver's plot, yes. A unit in a gift animation is not earning yet. Confirm the slot before you log out.
